The paper observatory

The brief

Create a photographed cut-paper diorama of a tiny observatory on a floating island at dusk. Every object must look hand-cut from layered matte paper with visible edges and soft contact shadows. Put a cream observatory with a copper dome in the upper right. A winding staircase starts at the lower left and ends at its open door. Put exactly two teal cypress trees to the left of the stairs, one small red fox on the third step from the bottom, and a crescent moon in the upper left. Use a side-on three-quarter view so the layers remain visible. Keep the background plain muted lavender. No lettering, realistic fur, glossy plastic, or digital interface. Square 1:1.
